FESTIVE HAMPERS BRING CHEER TO OUR COMMUNITY

Mutual Aid has helped a large number of neighbours over the past nine months and is continuing spreading some festive joy by delivering winter hampers full of goodies to those who have fallen on hard times, or who are isolating or vulnerable.

Just to name a few:

  • Kensal Green, Preston, Harlesden or Mutual Aid Food Willesden have launched and (and sometimes already delivered) their local hampers.

  • An virtual auction supported by Brent and Kilburn Times has also been created by Kensal Rise and Queen's Park to support local businesses and to fundraise for emergency food initiatives such as Lawrence's Larder, Granville Community Kitchen, Mutual Aid Food Willesden, Salusbury World, Elder's Voice and Brent Centre for Young People.

Over the past two weeks local businesses and the community have donated hundreds of things to keep our neighbours warm, fed, and active. Most of all we want to continue to let our neighbours know that their community is here for them. It’s been a great way to cement a strong partnership with local charity Elder’s Voice, local schools, and community groups, and we can’t wait to see the smiles on some faces when our neighbours receive the love of their community.
